Simone de Beauvoir, 1952

I stumbled accross a poster with this picture on it in a Berlin Tube.
It's from Gisèle Freund ( whom I did not know till now) Her portraits presently occupy the exhibition hall at the Willy Brandt Haus in Berlin.
I liked the picture so much we went to see the show - it's really nice and worth a visit. Beautiful portraits of Evita Perron, Margrite Duras, Virginia Wolf and many others. It's on till the 17.01.2009.
